Cleared the CEL Code... Now What?
I'm interested in your experience or knowledge regarding a cleared CEL code. 2014 Entegra with 450hp Cummins
Yesterday after leaving Ouray Colorado we traveled east towards Pueblo. After climbing Monarch Pass without issue (2nd time in 2 years) we stopped at the top for a break. When we started our descent, as I pulled onto the road CEL light popped on, followed shortly by the CHECK ENGINE and regen lights. The latter 2 lights popped on and off several times before I found a pullout. Checked temps, fluids, etc without issue. Decided to continue and once I reached 35-40 mph the latter lights extinguished leaving the original CEL on. Checked into campground at the base of the mountain, pulled the active codes and contacted Spartan.
1st code 641..could result in derate. Other codes...SCR & NOC. Following Spartan recommendation drove to Cummins garage this morning with CEL on but without issue. Cummins can't check the coach until next week, parts 2 weeks out.
Decided to clear the CEL, then drove to next campground. After 50 interstate miles, no issues whatsoever and no active codes.
I'm considering continuing on since we can't find available campgrounds in the area for more than a day or two, much less 2 weeks.
Anyone have knowledge or experience with codes that go "poof"?
