On a recent trip from FL back to NJ, DW alerted me that the engine sounded louder than normal in the back bedroom while I was driving. Also heard some squeal while accelerating and lacked power on some VA uphills. So I'm thinking turbo problems when I took it into my local Cummins shop.
Stopped by there Friday to check on my coach and found that my exhaust manifold was cracked. I did see some black suet when I initially crawled underneath there and figured the exhaust manifold gasket would need to be replaced again (1st one under warranty).
He said the squeal was actually coming from the air dryer that kept blowing off air and they rebuild that too.
See crack at curve in pipe.
Hopefully it will be ready tomorrow for a test trip from NJ to FL on Saturday!
