Cummins 8.3ISC PTO/Power Steering Hose

2004 Country Coach Inspire

I finally got the DP on her winter hibernation pad, which gave me good access under the engine bay to find the source of a leak.

The large hose connecting the bottom of the power steering fluid reservoir (large canister, has 3 filters, filled with Dex II) and what I assume is the PTO on the passenger side of the engine.
Hose has outer casing peeling away in places, and a slight leak in the middle (lowest point of hose).
I don't see anything like this listed on the Cummins site. Does anyone have a possible part number, or know a good source for a replacement?

Thanks!!

On my 2008 and 2013 Buses with ISL's that hose goes to the hydraulic pump on the passenger side of the engine. I had a leak at the lower end where the hose connected to the pump that I could not fix with new and tighter clamps, so I replaced the hose. I got my replacement hose at a local hydraulic shop, and new, high end clamps at a local diesel shop. No special part number, just xx feet of hose and trimmed as needed. Since I had to drain the reservoir anyway, I replaced the Dextron fluid with Transynd. Since Dextron is no longer required to meet ANY testing/composition specifications, I thought it was a good idea, and after checking with Tom Johnson, the man who designed Transynd for Allison, (https://www.irv2.com/forums/f125/for...eer-89293.html) I switched. Of course I also switched to clean filters. 20,000 miles so far and no problems.

Thanks for the info! Got a hose and heavy duty clamps today, 3 gallons of Dex III, and 3 filters. Will need more fluid, but want to drive it to get the fluid to operating temp to get proper fill level.

Very easy job. Was lucky to find the filters locally; might as well replace them along with the fluid.

Had a small oil leak/drip from the Fumoto Valve too, just needed a 1/4 turn to tighten it up. Seems to have fixed that as well.
