So, you will need to pay for the "programming" and you need a computer/scan-tool to connect the ECM to install the new ECM program.
For the ISC/ISL EGR delete, that's $1650 (or $2400 if you have the CM2150 ECM) for the programing, and another $500 to $800 for the "Insite compatible" scan-tool needed to install the programming. It's not cheap for just a simple EGR delete.
From what I read all across the internet you need an ECM tune when doing a DPF or SCR delete. If its just the egr then its possible you will just get engine codes and no derate, but I think I tune would be good to ensure the engine runs properly without it.
Also, we are talking about the EGR in this thread, but in case everyone reading this doesn't know already, its not advisable to just delete the EGR. Should delete the whole system (EGR, DPF, DOC, SCR/DEF). If you're spending the money on the tune anyway then you might as well get you're moneys worth and have them tune out the other equipment. (Would have to physically remove them as well of course).
