Cummins ISX broken valve in #6

It’s very disappointing to hear someone calling your story and you a “pest”. On this forum we are all to write openly and respectfully about our matters. If you would not like to learn or participate you have the freedom to not participate in the articles but don’t tell someone they can’t post.

I did find a note in the bill that a mechanic requested that the rockers be replaced due to excessive wear, the request was DENIED. So, it appears that I have out of spec (worn) rockers!!

Greetings all,We have followed multiple threads and read literally thousands of posts...a couple questions/observations if you will...I have read where in this instance, this engine has broken two valves, gone through 3 turbos, and 2 diesel particulate filters...am I understanding this post correctly that you saw in your 13 pages of paperwork reviewed a few years after the repair, that it appears your out of spec(worn)rockers!!!were used in rebuilding the engine??? Inquiring minds want to know....happy safe holiday wishes to all you iRV2 members jb

08Navigator, let us know who has declared you a "pest." It would be interesting information.

Please keep us up with your progress. Can't wait for your first fire-in-the-holes report!

"BTW - Got a message I am a pest....understand the "Ignore message" , Know what works better then ignore - don't visit the site....I won't bother people here anymore...I was trying to show people how to have fun fixing something on their own and save money. Piss on it..."
???
I scanned the thread but want to read it in detail and see it to it's conclusion. Love it so far. Love the DIY aspect. Love to see the expertise in motion towards a goal.
Don't you dare leave due to one mini voice.

08 Navigator. I second the request that you continue to post your progress . While I don’t have your engine model, I have an old V12 Jaguar XKE which I have faithfully tended to for the past 40+ years, so I can appreciate your skills and determination to tackle this issue. I have been following these posts since inception and hope you continue. Your efforts can really help other owners.
