DeRated engine

Hello everyone,

I have a 2000 Monaco Dynasty Cummins ISC engine. I have read on line several times that if an engine is having an issue - it may derate itself, so you can still drive it - but slower.

I was wondering what speed do you get? Will it still climb mountains? ( I live in the Rocky Mtns - will I get home?)

I hope it never happens to me, but I want toknow what would happen - if it does.

Thanks

Its derating due to a critical issue. You should only drive to a safe place to stop.
