Fault Codes

I have a 2004 ISB 5.9 that has 2 fault codes. Iíve done a number of searches and lots of fault codes but neither of these. Does anyone know where I can find information on them?

Thanks

Hi Treetop Flyer; I do not at this moment have any info on those codes for your engine. Here are 2 things you can do. Register your Cummin's engine on the Cummin's Quick Serve site. All you need is the engine serial number. This will give you access to parts, service and, I think, codes chart for your ISB. Call Cummin's help line shown on their web site. You will get to talk to Cummin's techs. that will help you with those codes. They helped me solve a code problem on my ISC and that saved me around $500. Make the call, you will glad you did. Hope this info helps!

How did u pull the codes? If on a Scanguage D then go to their website and should have them. Otherwise would have to have a scanner $$ that would tell you or take it to Cummins to read them.

Hi Chad
The codes come up on the Medallion monitor in the dash.
I also have a ScanGuage D however their website does not have a list of codes. They suggest a web search which I have already done.
I could take it to a Cummins dealer but would like to know what the codes are and see If they're something I could fix.
Thanks

I read recently on here that the parent company (forget their name) to scanguage had excellent customer service. I would pull the codes on the scanguage D and call them to see if they might help. Is the engine running good, any recent service or anything that might cause the codes? Good luck.

Runs great. No issues other than a yellow check engine light.

I assume you've checked coolant level? I believe that can throw a code. Possibly could need fuel filters changed also. I have an 07 coach with the ISB 5.9 as well. One of the more common issues I've heard of is the lift pump getting weak and causing low fuel pressure to the injection pump. I installed a gauge on mine to monitor and was shocked how low it was. It was so low I installed a different lift pump to increase pressure. How many miles on your coach? Sorry I cant be of further help, I'm grasping for anything I can think of.

Those don't look like Cummins fault codes. What you have are SPN (suspect parameter number) numbers. Log onto the Cummins Quickserve site and login. Look under the service tab and then the fault code search tab and then the SPN/FMI to fault codes tab. It is a tool to convert SPN and FMI numbers to the Cummins fault code and then it will also describe the actual fault code. You can get SPN and FMI numbers that are stored using your ScanGuage D.
