I have found it easier to work with a local parts store. every place on line I looked at wants you to select "year, make and model" and there is never a motor home category. What parts are you trying to find ? Lift pumps, hoses, belts (stuff like that) are kind of specific and I would try to read a part number off them to cross over. The internal parts are mostly the same as a Dodge ram 3500. You could also try this website.https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html

The quickserve idea posted above is your best bet to get the cummins part numbers... They have great schematics that allow you to see exactly what part you need, down to every bolt. From there you can search the internet for that part number and come up with many results.

I too find it easiest to just deal with the local cummins dealer. I look up what I need on Quickserve, and then call them with the part number... the parts are delivered the next day.

You will have to sign up for an account on quickserve. It's free however...

-cheers

Just my thought on this, go to a local authorized Cummins dealer to buy your parts, OEM fits better than after market parts and you can rest assured that you will get the right parts every time, Just give them the 8 digit engine number (a social security number for your engine) and they can see on their computer what you need w/part numbers. It is bad enough to have to work on one and to do a job and have the parts fail....... The 8 digit serial number that is assigned to your engine only make sense to a Cummins dealer Just my thoughts on this matter......

You need t have as much specific info as possible. The 5.9 has had many evolutions. Part specs change with out regard for model year of the vehicle. Cummins is the best place for the specific info, and usually a good place to purchase parts.

I had a 1989 5.9 in an Allegro, it differed enough from a 1990 that only Cummins could search some of the parts ( they always had to go in back and bring out the old timers).

With a Motor Home the chassis and engine are often older( by model year) than the completed rig.

You should be able to get parts Cummins - Japan

If not, lookup and call the nearest Cummins dearler in the USA and give them your engine serial number and have them ship you your needed parts. I would think if you have a serial number for your engine it could be looked up anywhere in the world and be able to buy parts for it, they are worldwide......

If you are going to communicate with Cummins (US or Japan), on the same plate/tag with the engine serial number should be the CPL number - this is the Control Parts List and will point the Cummins rep to the specific bill of material to which your engine was built.

You need your engin serial number when ever you talk to Cummins that is the first queston they will ask you. The CPL number is nice to have but I got mine from the counter guy at Cummins it is all in the computer.

Cummins will have part numbers for only the parts that came on the basic engine. Most accessories are selected and installed by the chassis manufacturer. Alternator, air filter, radiator, air intake ducting etc.
But again by going to the chassis manufacturer with the VIN number they can identify those part numbers and often those parts are available locally or online. If your Vectra is on a Freightliner chassis, their website is : Freightliner Motorhome Chassis ? RV Chassis

This may help: http://www.freightlinertrucks.com/Dealers/?query=Japan

Call Freightliner give them the engin SN. This is the first thing they will ask for and they will be able to give you a part number. The outher thing you might need nis your Winabago coach serial number. I orderd my air filter from filterbarn.com and save a little money. The filter and housing are one part it is all disposable.
One thing to be aware of the Cummins in your coach is not the same as the one used by Doge.
