Some filters are made with wire on both sides to they can be used in applications where air enter in the CENTER and in applications where air enters on the SIDE/OUTSIDE of the element.

Brett; The first two Donaldson labeled Ecolite filters I installed on this coach, were both clearly labeled to be able to flow in either direction, but only had mesh on the outside of the paper.
This last one I installed (the only one unpainted), is my first that has mesh on both sides.

That label should have been on that last one you would think?

I just received the LuberFiner filter I posted in that link. It is an eco lite complete with label. Galvanized not painted. Luberfiner is the house brand of Champion Labs. They are huge filter mfr. and make filters that are often installed on new cars at the factory. Some GM vehicles come with a Blue oil filter without AC Delco labels. That is a Champipn filter. They also make filters for other filter mfrs. The ecolite in this thread is probably only made by Ecolite as it is not a big seller
Tooling up for that unit would be expensive.

Fresh Air Filter

I paid $161.75 for the Donaldson I bought but I won’t get it for another few weeks because if BO. Where did you get your Luber Finer? I’ve used that brand as a fuel filter on my last Workhorse gasser.

Call your local NAPA store, near me NAPA is lower than internet stores other than theirs.
