Runnin hot

Hey im gonna jump in here for a quick bit, i bought my DP used an from day one it ran just a fraction on the cool side off 200. Then on long mountain pulls just a fraction over 200, which i assumed would be normal for a 195 T stat, it wasnt untill just a few weeks ago i compleated the entire rebuild of my cooling system, radiator, stock 180 degree Tstat, water pump, hoses, as well as everything else i could reach while i had all that Acess. (I replaced the radiator due to a leak) Now under full power going over the Sierras im running in the middle of the gauge which is between 150 an 200 thats pulling a toad, 80 gallons of water, an 100 gallons of fuel. Even the sound of the air going thru the radiator sounds different. It was a job i would not wish on anyone however the rewards have been more than i though possable. And yes for the time before all that time before i replaced all that i had cleaned an lightly pressure washed the old radiator, an from the outside it did look clean, yet once i pulled the old one out it had bent fins an VERY dirty. So one other thing, when i did all that work to the cooling system i cut a 4 in square in the bottom of the shroud an covered it with a piece of sheet metal so i now have a clean out.

Totally agree. Use whatever fluid is recommended for YOUR hydraulic system. Not mine or someone elses.

We have had a coach that used Delo 400 15-40 as the prescribed hydraulic fluid.

We have had a coach that used Dexron as the prescribed hydraulic fluid.

As you suggest, some coaches use hydraulic oil.

None are better or worse, but you sure don't gain anything by mixing them by adding the wrong fluid FOR YOUR SYSTEM.

Another case of "what is correct for my chassis may/may NOT be correct for yours".

Sorry for the delay. I has been a while since that was done . Best I can remember is that the 15w40 oil change over was performed on 2005 and 2006 models due to an undersized radiator. Along with the changeover to 15w40 oil the oil cooler which is mounted below the side radiator also needed to be replaced. The higher pressure created by the 15w40 oil was blowing out the original oil coolers. All this was done under warrantee at the time.
