The tach and perhaps the sender circuit are toast in my 93 Monaco Crown Royal. I have installed a new tach and a sensor that will read magnets on the dampener pulley. I need to run two 18 gauge wires from the sender in the rear to the dash.

Can I safely run them attached to frame members under the coach? Any other way seems to be a nightmare. The wires carry no voltage. I will also have to run the lead for a pyrometer when it arrives.

Ideas and thoughts appreciated.

I just went through this first for a fuel pressure gauge and a wire to replace the auxiliary start system.

I ended up pushing a 20' section of 3/4" conduit through between the frame rails. Made it easy to run the fuel sensor wire and then later I ran 5 extra wires through the same conduit.
I did have to drop the ceiling in the middle bay to help get it through.

I would advise against running below the coach, I doubt it would last long.

I did the same thing and pulled an extra pull string thru, Incase I need to pull another wire thru in the future.

OK. Great idea but now I need to be enlightened. I have not actually crawled under the coach yet. Because I have storage bays and two of them go all the way through I am not actually sure where you put the conduit and how.

Your idea is great and Mile Marker 42 has a great idea also. I will leave a sturdy pull string in place if I can figure out how to get the conduit in place. Did you use rigid or flex?

So, if you look real closely at the photo I attached (click on it and it will get bigger), you can see the 20ft of grey electrical plastic conduit I ran thru the belly of the beast. I made it through the first circle opening as you can see. I eventually made it thru the second one too by shaking it up and down and pushing it. If I hadn't been able to push it thru the 2nd circle opening, I would have had to do what Jim did and remove the ceiling cover of a storage bay. I got lucky. I zip tied the conduit in place with heavy duty zip ties pulled really tight. I had to get about the rear axle to take that picture, and that was also where I pushed it thru towards the front.

My front generator extends out the front, extended it all the way and pushed the conduit through the hole cut in one of the cross pieces that all the other wire and lines were run, I was able to push it across the top of the fuel tank and then it got stuck. Went to the next compartment and removed the ceiling in that bay and was able to grab onto the conduit and pull it and push it across that bay, it hit something and stopped but I was able to go into the small bay where my inverter and water heater is and reach up and find it and push it back across my water (fresh,grey,black) bay and then out the back. It day lighted just in front of the rear axle.

I didn't put a heavy string in but just pushed a fish tape through it to pull the second set of 5 wires.

Some people suggested and going getting this https://www.harborfreight.com/3-16-i...kit-65326.html not sure I wouldn't have had to take the ceiling on with this or not.

OK. I crawled under the beast today and I did not seem to have any openings such as seen in the picture. My bulkhead is solid except on each side there appears to be a tube with wiring and such running through it. On the passenger side it is not full so I will attempt to push a fish tape through and see if I can get real lucky.

If others are reading and want to add pull through open conduit you can use a vacuum to suck a small wad of tissue or such tied on string , if you don't have or want to buy fish tape. I have used a blow gun and blew a string through as well.

I vacuumed small pull strings thru mine. Easy.
