Installing new fan & Radiator

We are trying to install a new fan & radiator on a 2002 Holiday Rambler Scepter with a cummins ISC 8.3 engine.
We have started to put everything back together, serpentine belt, V-belt and replaced the support fan piece.

Now when putting the new fan on, it hits the top of the housing by about 1/2 and we can't understand why. We even put the old fan and old support fan piece and the old fan hits too.
We are at a loss as what we have done wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Susan

Is it possible you have the fan bracket upside down?
I'm not familiar with your coach but have seen this happen on occasions and it is usually something simple.
Good luck

Never found out why, my husband just cut about 1" off the upper part of the housing. Everything was put in correctly. We don't know why it hit the top of the housing.

Was there any thought of making the fan shroud a 2 piece. You would be able to remove top of shroud and access the front of the engine????

Has anyone out there done this. They do not make a 2 piece fan shroud. All rear rads shroud be a two piece. Would make life so much easier.

Looking for a quick response.

Thanks all
