ISB fault 1682, SPN 3362, FMI 31 check engine codes

My check engine light came on this weekend after bringing my 2012 Journey home from storage. LCD on Dash indicated SPN 3362, FMI31.

while doing some Google searches, this is related to Fault Code 1682. "Aftertreatment DEF Dosing Unit Input Lines - Condition Exists. An error has been detected by the aftertreatment DEF dosing unit."

Just curious if others have had issues with the DEF system.
Dropped unit off at local Freightliner shop this morning.

How long in storage? DEF does not have an indefinite shelf life. In fact, it is quite short. Remove the cap from the DEF tank and smell the opening. Do you smell ammonia? DEF breaks down into ammonia very easily.

Your issue could also be related to the injector nozzle that sprays the DEF into the exhaust.

Sure am glad I am as old as I am, won't buy an engine with that stuff on it, JMO

What is DEF tank?

quick update, local Freightliner shop, cleared the code, ran a re-gen and no issues since. Not sure what caused it but it was covered under warranty.
DEF = Diesel Exhaust Fluid on 2011 and newer engines for EPA emissions.
