ISL Valve Lash Adjustment

Looking thru the literature on the Cummins ISL 425 clean diesel I now have, I was surprised to see valve lash adjustment recommended at 150,000 miles or 48 months. Since I suspect there are few motorhome owners who put 150K miles on a coach unless they are doing some serious traveling, I wonder how many Cummins owners have had the valve adjustment done at 48 months.

With the change from 12 valve to 24 valve in the Dodge P/U ISBs the adjustment recommendation went to the higher mileage too. Because of the wide tolerance in the adjustment spec's I'd say 48 months @ low mileage would be too soon, but the adjustment should be front and center if you have any performance issues.
In 9 years of dealing with the Dodge 24 valve before I retired , I think I would have only done a dozen valve adjustments , on the high mileage trucks.
