Hello I have a 2007 500 HP ISM engine light comes on every now and again shows code for EGR Valve. Light goes out after shutting off and restarting. Has anyone ever cleaned EGR valve. How hard to remove. The Ugly Fix told me that there chip wont work if my valve sometimes sticks. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Jon

I removed and cleaned my EGR valve on my 6.7 ISB, 4 bolts, 1 Vband clamp and 1 electrical connection.

Easy removal (10 minutes)

I put the electrical plug inside a baggy

Soaked overnight and scrubbed the inside clean until when rocked back and forth the valve would move freely

My gaskets were fine and just replaced EGR valve using old gaskets

I did order new gaskets and EGR cleaner, but didn't arrive until after I was done

I used a standard degreaser and hot water

Thanks sounds easy enough. I'm wondering how hard to remove on a ISM series.
