ISM check engine light

Have a 500 HP 2010 ISM. Got a check engine light a couple times while using the engine brake. Cummins read the codes and discovered that there were 23 instances of low oil pressure, starting as long ago as 100 engine hours. Have over 500 engine hours now. Lowest pressure was 28 PSI. Now for the good news. Cummins did research and found that the ECM had to be reprogrammed because essentially the codes were being registered erroneously---that 28 PSI was not in fact "low".

Our 04 Essex with 500 ISM runs between 35 and 40 psi on oil pressure after warmed up. 28 is a little low and I wonder if using lighter grade of oil like 10/30 might be the issue?
