ISX 15 600 - How much oil from add to full?

I have a new ISX 600 and the oil level is at the add mark. About how much oil should I add to bring it to full.

You may find that the dipstick isn't calibrated. We had that with our previous ISC. If I filled to the "Full" mark it would throw oil out till it got midway between "Full" and "Add". If I just kept it at the midway point it never threw or used any oil.
Try adding a qt at a time, wait a few minutes and check the dipstick. Then remeber how much it took for future reference.

Didn't have the Magna long enough to know. Maybe when we get it back I can find out!

x2 on oil dipsticks notorious for being inaccurate. Unfortunately the only way to recalibrate you dipstick is when the oil is changed, ensure that only the amount of oil Cummins says the motor should hold is added, then check the level on the dipstick and remark it if needed.

I was told that at the add mark, a gallon of oil is the correct amount. I guess when you consider that the engine holds nearly 15 gallons, it doesn't seem like that much.
