ClassAction.org & NHTSA

Please report ALL ISX problems to ClassAction.org and NHTSA!

I have reported my ISX problems but we need more reports before they will take any action!

It might help if someone on here was willing to go through some of the threads involving this problem and pm'ing everyone who has had the problem and ask them to follow up on Mr. D's info on who to contact. I think some may not check back here as they have moved on. Just a thought

Could also post on other forums to alert folks and to have folks tell others ISX owners to report to the two entities if they have sustained engine problems.

How do I post to ClassAction.org on The Cummins ISX 15 CM871

I would be interested in participating in a Class action regarding the Cummins ISX CM 871 DOHC defective head replacement and defective valves particularly the #6 Intake Valve/turbo damage problem. As posted earlier, we currently have our coach in the shop with this problem.

This was a silent recall if I understand correctly and Cummins chose not to disclose the problem with these engines publicly.

See Cummins Technical Service Bulletin TSB150130 dated 05-Dec-2016.

They released a new head design and better valves to address the problem as identified in the TSB.

I went on the ClassAction.Org webpage and it indicates, if I am reading it correctly I would need to engage a lawyer to start this action.

Has anyone else taken that step?

Classaction.org will take reports, if they get enough they may take action so they need all the reports we can muster.

I posted on anotherforum, asking if folks ran into anyone with this type of problem, to tell them to report to Class action.org.

Problem is that the Class 8 trucks run a totally different cycle than RV's. Truckers run theirs many many hours a day and repeat it day after day. That doesn't let the acid do it's dirty work.

They have 4 down with #6 cylinder issues just in the last 2 weeks...The decision has been made to go with the Paccar engines when rotating the current equipment out of service.

Did they tell you exactly what the problems in #6 were?

Interesting. I hadn't seen much about valve problems on the truck forums I've been monitoring.
