LF9009 to the LF14009NN for your ISL9

Sorry if this is a repeat.

Anyone switched over to the LF14009NN, upgrade from the LF9009?

We have the 2008 425 ISL CM2150 and ready to do an oil change

Always have used the LF9009

If the 9009 worked, why up to the 14009 especially if it costs more?

I'm finding pricing about the same

The write up from Cummins Filtration reads like an improvement

Was just curious if anyone has switched, I'm going to order one for this oil change cycle

The 14009 is $85.48 from Fleetguard/Cummins. The 9009 is $45.40 from the same company/website. Since none of drive the mileage to change more than once a year or 15,000 miles why spend the extra money on an engine designed to run 350,000 miles before an in-frame overhaul with the OEM style(LF9009 oil filter)?

Perhaps my thinking does not count, it's your money to spend as you choose, I apologize.

The only thing that's upgraded is the amount of money Cummins takes out of your pocket.
