New engine w/ Yellow CEL + Codes. Guide me!

We have a 1 year old rebuilt 5.9 ISB in our MH. The yellow CEL comes on intermittently. It is sometimes on for a second, but was definitely on for a minute climbing a tall bridge on a recent trip. Seems to derate power (is that the "limp" mode or from the problem? Maybe you can tell me).

No codes are saved in memory that I can view with my scanner, but VMS was running and it did save them! We were on a trip when they popped.

Can you point me in the right direction?

Attached are the codes. They include a lot of "Injector Cylinder #18", "Auxiliary Output Driver #7", and others.

I would change o2 sensor and then clear codes and see what if any pop up again? Similar cleared erratic on my old T&C van that seemed to affected by Octane, and issue= now gone; if anything returns, look for COP/ cylinder codes.

Thanks for the help. The engine is a diesel 5.9 Cummins ISB. Don't think it has the O2 or COPs, but an erratic sensor could be bad I guess.

This is curious , does your 5.9 have mechanical fuel injectors or electronic?

Mechanical — it is a 5.9 isb and I agree it is weird

If I were you I would take it to a Cummins dealer to put their computer scan on to get the Cummins codes out of the ECM. I have a scan gauge and I developed a problem that the scan gauge showed a code of 254 but the Cummins scan showed 368, which was my VP44 was failing.
