Oil Change Interval Cummins B6.7 Diesel

Our 2019 Tiffin Allegro RED 33AA is built on a 2019 Freightliner XC-M Chassis with a Cummins B6.7 Diesel.

When we purchased the RV from a third party, I had the oil changed on 4/9/2021 with 11,500 miles at a Freightliner dealer. Freightliner put a tag on the windshield to change the oil on 10/9/2021 or 21,500, which is 6 months or 10,000 miles. The Cummins manual recommends 12 months or 15,000 miles.

We've logged about 8,000 miles over the past 7 months.

Anybody know of a reason not to follow the Cummins recommendation?

I change my oil every 10K.

It seems both are Cumming recommendations. But, to me the manual overrides the local Cummins shop. I have the same engine and I follow the manual. Heading to Big Bend for Thanksgiving. I have purchased the oil and filter and plan to change it when I return. It will be 12 months. I would wait unless you just feel like doing it to reset the clock (mileage).
