That’s definitely a nice filter wrench but only fits one size filter. A strap wrench fits all. A 1/2” ratchet and extension required for both.

Not just one size.

"Removes Truck Filters from 4-21/32 to 5-5/32" (118 to 130mm) in Diameter."

I own at least five strap wrenches. This one is *much* easier to use on an ISL 400.

Here’s another option for you. Use it with long 1/2” extension and ratchet wrench. Or if need be, use a breaker bar. Just slide it all the way to top of filter where it is less likely to crush the filter.

As a side benefit it works on the air dryer filter too.

Oops, I just checked and that tool is so old that it may no longer be available. Maybe used on eBay, etc. I bought mine from the SnapOn dealer 20 years ago.

I agree, there isn't one big enough for my 8" dia. oil filter, I have a strap wrench, long extenson for my ˝" ratchet; and a change of clothes in the garage JIC.

i use this on my ISL.
enough leverage to tighten and loosen.
just enough swivel to grab the bottom of the filter.

Just a note about changing fuel filters. The ISL has an electric fuel pump in the system. It is mounted on the engine and is used to supply fuel to the system. Cummins recommends that you install new fuel filters dry and cycle the key to fill the filters so the fuel is clean with no contamination.

I'm one of those who pokes a hole in the filter but I do it a bit differently, I drill in a self tapping screw then remove it to drain the filter, then put the screw back so I don't have to wait an eternity for it to quit dribbling.

Smile Filter Wrench

I found this wrench works well on my ISL, I like it better than the strap wrenches I have that wrap around the filter.

Goodyear tire and maintenance (service) centers, largely located in truck stops, will do an oil change on an RV if they have a pit (call ahead). My Cummins 8.8 400hp takes 7 gallons of oil - their service includes chassis inspection and lube, oil/filter/fuel-water separator for under $250. No reason to do it yourself - you can hardly get the materials for that price let lone the multipoint lube and inspection.
