Oil Leak
ijust My 2014 coachman cross country developed a bad oil leak. I took it in the shop and was told the turbo feed line rotted out and was leaking bad.This coach has a 6.7 cummins. Is there any reason that led to this? I do not want this to happen again.(expensive repair)

Did the lack of oil pressure damage the turbo ?
The actual pressure line and it's replacement ( along with clean up ) shouldn't have cost a bunch .

The turbo supply line should be pretty cheap...
Mine is rusting too, which is odd. Plan to clean it up, zinc coat, and paint...

This is a well timed post for me... I was under our coach this past weekend doing a chassis lube and thought dang, I don't remember this oil leak off a line headed towards the turbo.
I will definitely be crawling back under now to investigate further. I looked like it was leaking on the block end of the line, not the turbo end.
This is why I love these forums, a great way to keep us all informed about what can happen about anything.

The tube fitting that is in the block is not your leak. The drain tube is just a gravity return to the crankcase and under no real pressure. The leak must come from higher up and collects on and around the rubber hose and the clamps. I replaced the gasket at the top of the tube where it connects to the turbo, got a new rubber hose section and reused the original clamps on my 2003 engine. Problem solved.
I would also check the oil feed line to the top of the turbo for any leaks. Mine was dry but because it was 17 years old I replaced it at the same time. That line is under engine oil pressure.
