Orange Check Engine Light Came On Cummins 340 HP

Hello! Today I was driving my 2015 Allegro Red with the 340HP from my storage yard to the house for some cleaning and the orange check engine light came on as soon as I placed the transmission on D. The storage yard is about 25 miles from the house and the light was on all the way home. I turned the engine off when I arrived and then turned it on a couple of times and the same it would not go away!! I shut it down cleaned it and started the engine drive it back to the storage facility and the light was off!!! Anyone has an idea to what might of happened here?? Should I take it in to be checked, it only has 4200 miles at this time. Thanks in advance!!!

Could have been the light that alerts you to the fact the new DEF using exhaust system needed some attention.

If you've only used the coach under very light load conditions, the system can't clean itself very well. If this is the case, you just need to drive it under a more stressed load condition, or just for a longer period of time so the exhaust system can develop enough heat to do it's thing on self cleaning process.

The problem is without seeing a code to explain the light, the only thing you can do is guess as to what was going on. Even if you tried pulling codes now there may or may not be a stored code. If not.... Well, you may never know.

Since my rig is much older this may or may not apply but I'll throw it out there anyway.
I have been plagued by check engine lights for years. There are no fault codes resident in the ECM. I have done a number of things to try and resolve the problem but the last one (maybe in combo with the other fixes) has been the most successful to date.
I have found that if I do not allow the WAIT light to fully clear on start up, I will get a CEL at some point down the road. Since coming to this conclusion a few months and a few thousand miles ago, I have not had a CEL. Touch Wood.
