Stop Engine Light

The stop engine light comes on after starting and continues for a short period and than goes off, will not come on again until engine restarted. All readings on Aladdin read normal, power normal, any thoughts why light would come on? ISL 400 hp.

The light might be on as an indication it's working. It also may be on because oil pressure isn't up to operating levels at startup. A lot depends on how long that 'short period' it's on really is. I'd time it with a watch to see, sometimes it seems longer than it really is. Do you see any error codes or other sign something isn't right?

Stop Engine Light

Check the coolant level in your surge tank.

I would suggest you either get a diesel scan tool or go to a shop that has one which all Cummins service locations would have. When ever the check engine light or the stop engine light up there is a code that indicates why the light came on. It could be a loose connection our any number of issues. That would be the first thing to do.
