Tsc traveler 15w40 diesel fleet oil
I was at tsc today and starting tomorrow they have Traveller 15w40 diesel fleet oil for $39.99 for 5 gallons.
I heard shell makes the oil for them.
I see a couple Cummins certifications on the back label.
Is anyone using this in their coaches or generator.
The PO said he used rotella the last 90k miles and I saw this when I was looking at the oil shelf (intending to buy rotella). I am holding off until I get some feedback from the forum.
Any feedback positive or negative?

Would guess IF the specs show it being up to Cummins standards would be OK. however I only use the Rotella, do not like surprises, know all the additives are in it to prevent sludge etc.
Mu opinion only.

As an fyi the traveler oil isn't synthetic.
I just called Cummins and they said it meets spec.
I'm going to try it.

I'll also do an analysis on the current oil and adhere to factory intervals.

I've been using it in both my Cummins a B5.9 & 2001 ISC,I also add 2 bottles of Lucas breakin lube (it has zinc in it) which they took out of the oil because it will clog up the cats in the newer Diesels.

No,it has well over 200K mi ,they took the zinc out of the oil for the newer engines so it doesn't clog the cat converter.Since mine is a 2001 it doesn't have a cat so I use it to prevent the cam & lifters from wearing.
Search for:bobtheoilguy there's a lot of good info there about it.
