The engine in my 97 Discovery is a so-called 98.5, 24 valve, 5.9L, ISB.

Max I see on VMSpc is 23.2.

Around 23 PSI for the OEM, at one time Banks had a kit that came with a bigger turbo that does 33-34 PSI. They no longer have or sell that kit.

I have one but the Ottominder box went out. And is no longer available. :(

The boost on my 5.9 with the Banks system will touch 32-34 lbs. of boost from the 5-6 shift. If it is in the economy mode, 25-28.

I hope our Ottomind never gives out or we'll be in the same boat and I'll really miss the added power even with the bigger turbo left in place.

On our ISC with the Banks kit the boost always goes up to 34-35 PSI even when in economy mode.

That's very interesting, Mr.D. I was very cognizant of the boost this year, because of the threads I have read on IRV2. I have the Banks, pyrometer, and boost gauge, plus the scan-gauge. The scan-gauge doesn't show the same amount of boost the Banks gauge does, it is lower, at any given time, by about 3-4 lbs. I to am worried about my Ottomind losing it's mind. I wonder if another type of horsepower chip will work?

My '99 Cummins boost max is 19. All stock except Diablo sports Power Puck. EGT is 1200 at 19 psi boost, so what is your EGT at 23?

Sounds right for a 98.5 Cummins, watch your exhaust manifold temperature, before the turbo, should not exceed 1300 F
