3126 oil leak

My 3126 with about 50K miles has developed an oil leak between the oil filter adapter and the block. I've tightened the bolts but the leak is still there. Replacing the gasket(s) appears to be a fairly straight forward job, but I hate surprises. Has anyone out there attempted this repair?

We just had ours into Ring Power in Orlando and they removed the adapter, cleaned it inside and out, cleaned the check valves in there and replaced with new gaskets. Cost about $300.00 total with about 50.00 in Parts.
Also PMed the main engine and PMed the Genny.
They do great work but they also know how to charge.

This is a common problem for the 3126. Mine started leaking last August. Had the replacement gaskets and seals put in for around $350. My problem was I also needed to have the radiator and rear chassis steam cleaned which added a couple hundred to the bill. Don't wait and don't try to tighten it as it's an internal problem.
