Are all Cat motors the same yellow?

I ask as I bought touch up paint based on the CAT paint codes...

The paint I got looks like CAT yellow I see in pics... but my motor looks more like a yellow/tan color... not a bright yellow... More tan...

It’s a 3126, 2000 year...

Did these things come in different shades?

Heat will darken the yellow. Saying that there was a different caterpillar yellow 30yearish ago, but has been the same color sense then. Used to be called Marigold yellow not sure now. Safe Travels

There is two CAT colours, but the older one is way before 2000's. It was used on older CAT equipment and was a pailer yellow.

Cat colors. The one circled is the correct color for my 2005 C13.

The circled color looks like the tan I was referring too... mine looks more like that color I think... the motors I see pics of seem more bright yellow...

The paint I got looks more like the yellow to the left of it...

Not the end of the world. Just plan to paint the valve cover and oil pan...

It looks a little "tan" in the photo, but comes out of the can more yellow. Here's a photo of some touch up I did on my engine. The touch up matches the factory paint color.

Yes. In 1988 or 89 they changed from a brighter yellow to a browner yellow. They also changed the corporate logo from the Pac-Man C to the yellow diamond at this time. Dealers probably stock both colors.

Oh well, too late... this falls under the category of “close enough” ...

Paint is primarily for the oil pan and valve cover...
