I have a 97 freightliner chasis, a cat 3126 with a BD exhaust brake. If I use the exhaust brake (it works to slow me down) it will not open back when I trun it off unless I manually push it open. It is run on air but I have now idea how to trouble shoot. Anyone???

Have you lubed it? The PAC Brake and similar exhaust brakes need periodic lubing with a high temp oil desiged for that purpose (you can get a small tube of PAC Lube from Camping World).

The lube points are shown on the PAC lub bottle but all the pivot points and the air cylinder need to be lubed...I even disconnect the air line going to the brake and put a few drops into the opening.
