I doubt a C12 will fit. And the C12 is 1000 pounds heavier than the C9. You would also have cooling issues.
"Blown" covers a pretty wide area. I'd pull the cylinder head and see what it really needs.

well i had a blown head gasket, pulled head, cracked in 3 spots, the machine shop said look at the deck,we re prepped deck it was right at max wear 2,000 ths, we put a recon head back on with new injectors, radiator, inner cooler, water pump, end less list of parts, made it about 1,000 miles on, some short trips then a lot of exhaust gases showed up in coolant. took my brother and i 30 hrs to get to the head the first time, that is the depressing part, common man im looking for better news, thanks for the reply though

Trade your C12 for a C9.
Or, your reman head and all the other new parts should still be good. Find a C9 short block.

I see all the infrastructure work as being too much. Like you said you will have to move everything back. This will mean many new parts and fabrication. Make sure the frame can handle another 1k in weight in that area. I understand the desire to use what’s right there, but a c9 will be much faster.
