Hi all,
At the recent western FMCA rally in Indio, CA. I went to a Caterpillar seminar. I was told by the rep/speaker that due to pure economics, Caterpillar is not going to build any more CAT brand engines and will only build tractor chassis and thier own brand of trucks. They will now start putting in International Harvester engines. There is a stock of CAT engines still and they are using them up. We were told that Caterpillar will happily still sell parts and work on thier engines and warrenty them. Nothing has changed on their service end of the business, so don't freak out about that. Your CAT engine is still in good hands. Just thought I'd drop this little bombshell on the forum.

Later,
Tom

According to Cat's press release, Cat is only stopping production of on-highway engines.
