Engine temp and dash air.

For many miles my engine temp was 188 to 192 under normal conditions. Recently it has started to run 199 to 204 unless I turn on the dash air conditioner. Then it drops back to the lower temperature range. I have changed the thermostats and cleaned the radiator and then fan seems to come on when needed. It does not overheat even on steep hills on a hot day.
Is there a connection between the dash air and engine temperature?
Any advice appreciated!

C7 330hp with side radiator. Thanks!

Often the air conditioner will turn on an electric radiator fan whenever the AC compressor is running regardless of engine temperature. This could cause the cooler engine temp when the AC is running.

I don't believe our side rad controls are the same, being different years of chassis , but when my dash air compressor runs , my rad fan control steps up the side rad fan motor, to max RPM .

Note: Because the dash A/C system has a condenser with it's own electric fan , that's not in the cooling stack , I consider this unnecessary and I'm looking for a work around to stop this , but the controller is on the data buss , so I'll have to do some thinking on the issue.
