Rubber seals on injector connector?

I adjusted the valves on my Cat yesterday. While I had it open I pulled the connectors on my injectors to check the sealing boot on the plug. None of them had one. The connection had oil in it, but I've never had an issue. I don't think the seals have ever been on there because I don't believe the valve cover has ever been off. Should it have the seals on it?

I don't see a problem. Mach engine brakes have connectors under the valve covers.

Aren't the pole mounted transformers oil filled for cooling.
I remember the issues with PCBs in the oil spreading when they exploded.

Its kinda strange. The only reason I even pulled the connector to look was because I have read where people have had misses, engine stumble and a engine code set when the boots get old and oil gets into the connection and interferes with the injector signal. I have pulled up the wiring harness and looked and it does show the rubber around the plug.

Go here and enter your engines serial number and go through the injector group harness connectors to locate the correct part number. It is missing a seal and should be addressed
