Turbo downpipe

Hello everyone

I need some help. First I guess I should say it's a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder with the C7 engine. I'm in the process of changing out my muffler and have the whole exhaust off from the exhaust brake on. The downpipe with the wrap on it is rusted out and I can't seem to locate a replacement. It appears to be a special pipe with what looks like a 4" in and 5" out and smashed in the middle. Any idea where I might find one? I've looked a little online with no luck
Thanks
Keith

Thanks for the link but doesn't show any results for a Freightliner XC C7 exhaust pipe
I think I found it on FinditParts.com.

Well Keith,
Here's one place too that might help ya.

https://www.truckpipesusa.com/?srslt...OSMxlEejBqCVnT

By the way, we have a '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT C-7 330HP and while my down pipe that emerges from the turbo has not rusted out and is still in top shape, the heat wrap on it deteriorated some time ago and if I recall, Freightliner wanted me to sell my first born for some replacement. Well, me being me, I just did what Clint Eastwood did in Heartbreak Ridge, "overcome, adapt and improvise". That is, I buzzed around on Amazon and found fiberglass exhaust wrap for about $50 or so and wrapped it myself. DONE. That was years and years ago and it's still in great shape with 118,000 miles on this old girl.

Thanks
I'll have to get on Amazon and check that out. Just wondering, did you find 5" sleeve material or did you have to wrap it.

I thought about that but my closest Freightliner dealer is over 100 miles away. I ordered one from Find it Truck parts, hope it's right. Still haven't found the fiberglass sleeve so might have to do the wrap. The biggest sleeve I can find is 4".

Like I stated earlier, I found basic fiberglass wrap and wrapped it myself. Yep, a few dozen turns around that pipe and it was all wrapped and I used some large stainless steel band clamps to hold both ends of the wrap on and tight. Been on there for oh, about 10 years now and is still in great shape.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if you used the wrap, and how much you used to wrap it.
Thanks

If you're asking me on how much wrap did I use, well, if I recall, the total distance I had to wrap, took less than half a roll of exhaust wrap. When I told of what I did on here, one of the members asked what I'd do with the rest of the roll. I sold it to him for just a hair over the shipping cost. He was happy, I was happy that I didn't have half a roll of exhaust wrap hanging around for the rest of my life.

Thanks, that's what I meant. Just wondering how much I had to order.
