Turbo question

Does a malfunctioning turbo such as, low boost, or bad wastegate, trigger a engine light?
Thanks, Rob

Your not saying what engine you have, but if its a modern electronic engine, then yes it will set a warning light generate and or diagnostic code or an event code.
