We bought our 2004 back in 2016 from the original owner with 43K on her. Prioritized deep cleaning: RAD/CAC removal, all bearings, belts, fluids,,,,,, It was stored inside in a heated building so most sealing and rubber items were like new.
The corrosion on the engine was due to poor factory paint on our 3126E. It took a few cold one's and a brass detailing brush. Took more time to clean and paint then the actual mechanical work. However, she runs on looks perfect now.
I like the tinkering myself. Saves much $ also.
