2003 Dutch Star with transmission code 5611

Hi all, new to this site,just bought a 2003 newmar dutchstar DP about 8month ago.it has the cat diesel with Allison 3000 series transmission. So here is my problem, I have a friend using it and he called saying the transmission went out of it and he is currently not able to use it...pulled the transmission code and got code 5611..anybody have some thoughts or input? Thanks for your time!

56 11 means the transmission controller expects the transmission to be in first range and it's not seeing that ratio. That can be caused by slipping/worn out clutches that make the first gear ratio (C1 and C5). If the oil is low to the point where one of these clutches is slipping, that can cause this code.
