I have a 2006 Allegro Bay on a Workhorse chassis. It has an Allison 1000 6 speed. I noticed while on a weekend trip that it is not shifting into 6th gear. (at least the dash screen says that it is not). Anyone had this happen before?
I really cannot tell exactly when this started happening. Is there a chance that it is shifting and the screen readout might be wrong?
Thanks.....

LEO: There should be a 3 position switch on your dash somewhere. It is probably in the "middle" position which allows 5th gear, but prevents 6th. Try switching to see which direction causes the "O/D off" light to illuminate. The opposite direction will allow 6th, but speed must also be obtained for that final upshift. Ed
Thank you Ed. Again, you saved the day. I did not realize that the switch was a three position switch. I depressed the low side of the switch and all is perfect.
