...glad you found a solution....there is a fair amount of info on this subject, on the forum....a blown fuse is the cheapest but may not be as likely....broken wire--less likely....most likely is the TCM or the keypad--transmissioninstruments.com in Flower Mound TX will diagnose and refurbish one or both devices, if required, for less than $250 [each] and will generally ship over night.....

Unfortunately for me, it wasn't the simple fix of a fuse, bad wire, corrosion, etc. The display itself was bad. Mechanic rechecked my work on fuses, etc. then decided to swap out the push button shift display with his test unit before digging deeper. He unplugged my original, plugged his in, and the old girl sprang to life!
I now have a brand new one installed ($1,086 part price for those wondering), and my RV is finally drivable.
In the future, if something like this happens again, this company specializes in repairing the shifter

We have it fixed. New harness from battery to ECU. Detroit/Allison factory tech did the work. Also discovered the harness from the turbin speed sensor was bad. Fixed both. ECU is in center compartment fastened to ceiling. No VIM box as described by many just 3 relays near the ECU.
