Allison spin on filter.

I have a 2007 Workhorse W-24 with a 2350MH transmission and asking if anyone has changed the spin on trans filter only. Here in NJ we had a 40+ degree day so I was serving my Class A and noticed the trans filter didn't look so good. With a pretty fair amount of rust on it what is it starts to leak. My question is how much fluid (TranSynd) will I loose when changing it, and is the fluid available by the quart? Not much luck looking on line, dealer maybe.

Perhaps not by the QT. Think you can fill your new filter and not lose much during the change out. There is a magnetic washer (or should be). Reuse or buy another.

Sorry, but TranSynd is not available in quarts. It's only available in gallons.

And the question should be why not?
My 3000 calls for TES295 and the min qty., I've found so far, is for 5 gallons at auto zone. Just wanted a qt to carry on board and for just in case I needed a little while out on the road and away from things.
On edit, maybe it was a gallon and still 3qts more than I want for now.

Because that's what Castrol chooses to package and sell.

It's not just Castol and don't know of any TES295 certified brand that does.
Do you?
