Hello Allison man. I have a 93 Georgie boy spartan chassis with a 59 Cummins Allison MD 3060. My parents were the previous owner of this coach and I recently discovered that it had never had rear brakes since new. I did a treadle valve replacement after learning there was no air pressure going to the Rear brake canister. Discovered that they had pinched the airline between a piece of angle iron let the seat bolts to. And it is confirmed to be done from the factory because I had to dig through the factory spray foam to get it out. Anyway since the treadle valve replacement the transmission is not shifting correctly it will not go into six gear and you have to do over 2300 for it to shift into fifth gear if you slow down below 60 it does a very hard downshift back to fourth gear. I am not receiving any kind of light for the transmission I did however replace a sending unit under the dash that goes to that junction airbox that the brake lines connect to under the dash. I cracked the other one. Could this be the cause of my hard shifting?Or should I look somewhere else?

Hello guys,
having a issue with my Allison 3060 wtec II. Whenever i go to start the coach it is dead unless i Waite a few seconds then a crackling noise comes from the Allison relay box / tcm under the dash. Now it doesn't shift into 6th and i have to over speed to get into 5th gear. when it starts to slow a little it down shifts really hard, It really bangs into first While still moving. I found a low mile tcm with the same p#. Do i need to get it reprogramed or just install and go? Thanks for reading..

Hey I have an issue with my allison 1000. It drives good for like 30 miles or so and then I get the temp light on and goes on limp mode. Now the engine temp is like 190 no even close to 200. Fluid seems good, no smell or anything. Thanks

What year is it?

Have you ever changed the transmission fluid and filter?

Travel supreme 2001 spartan chassis 5.9l cummins 1000 allison. The previous owner said he pay someone to do the service but I'll said that someone don't know to much. The filter he used on the quietpact genset napa brand wasn't the right the treat was to short and it spit it out first time it starts. I'll said, I better change oil to transynd and new filters and seal. How do I know if the filter is deep or shallow pan? Everything seems to be factory. Thanks for the help

Doesn't the Allison 1000 have an external spin on filter?

I have a external spin filter. What you recommend transynd or mobile delvac. Can find transynd on any local store. The closes is 45 miles away and those guys want 67 dollars a gallon vs 41 for mobil at Walmart.

Buy whatever brand you can find to be the cheapest as long as it has the TES 295 approval. Any brand with this certification is the same as Transynd

I bought Mobil Delvac online at Summit Racing for $34/Gal.

Need some advise.

My coach has a 6 pin and a 9 pin diagnostic port under steering wheel and in the outside electrical bay compartment. After some testing, my coach is using the J1708 bus.
Here’s my problem, engine is sending information to both diagnostic ports. The Allison 3000 transmission is not.

Any ideas where to start troubleshooting ? I’d like the ports to have at least the basic tranny info. Transmission runs fine. I’ll probably call Allison next week.

MT 40

Hello! I have been looking everywhere on the web for a repair manual for a 1973 Allison MT 40 or any year that would work for this. I found a 1979 and some earlier than 1973. Don’t know if any of those would work. If you know of one that would work or have one let me know. I need to fix leaks and the mechanic would like a manual. Thnx

Allison 1000 still goes limp mode

Well after a while a get fluid replaced with mobil delvac. New filters in and out. New pressure switch manifold what's included temp sensor, new internal wiring since the old was full of trans fluid on the external connector. I get it up and running I'd cycle through each shift. And after 30 mins or so the light came on again and It goes limp.
Do I need to clear any coded on the TCM?
How I can reset the codes?
I don't have a key pad. Travel supreme 2001 allison 1000. Cummins 5.9L Max controls stick shift.
I have a scanner J1939 9 pins and 6 pins. I can get codes from the engine but I won't connect with the trans. I saw a Deutsche 3 pin connector on the harness of the TCM.
Picture down.
The rig has just 31980 miles on it . Been park for a while.
Any suggestions? Thanks again for your help. This thing is driving me crazy.
