Allison trans and DEF head emergency disconnect

At the current time there are many diesel coach owners with 2015 and newer coaches that are having DEF head replacement problems. This problem is causing many owners to cancel trips and for some not even use their motor home. Some have even had to be towed because the ECM has shut the engine down.
It has been reported that by disconnecting the Allison speedometer connection that the coach can driven again so that emergency repairs can be done. The question we would like to ask is what effect will disconnecting the speedometer cable have if driven with speedometer sensor disconnected? If Tom Johnson or other irv2 forum member has an answer it would be helpful to a lot of diesel motor home owners.
Thanks Tom

Another WEB site had a long discussion on this and the Conclusion was it won't work with the Allison because it relies on that sensor output to run the transmission. If I was on my home computer, I could link the forum, but I am on the road. This apparently works on the over the road trucks with the manual and semi-automatic transmissions only.
