Question Allison trans problems

I am new to the class A . I have an 2001 Holiday Rambler Ambassador. Love coach, but am having trouble with the RANGE INHIBIT lamp. The check trans light is working, but dose not give any sign of a problem. I lose speed very quick. If I am going at 70mpg and hit a hill it loses to about 40mpg in a short distance. What am I doing wrong? The trans checks full on dipstick.

I would try to change the fuel filter out. Sounds like engine is not getting enough fuel.

A restricted fuel filter is a definite possibility. Engine down on power can cause all sorts of funny issues.
For more info on the trans, and checking codes go to the Allison web site

In the lower right corner of the home page ,,
click " Related Benefits " and there is a free download " Allison Electronic Controls Package " that details the WTEC III and IV trans controllers , how to retrieve codes, etc. The last 30 pages should be what your interested in.
It's a big file 2143kb but worth having.

Sorry this link is not working correctly, it gets you to the page but nothing will open. I'll try again.
I posted the same link 5 days ago , to the post " wrench icon...2010Dutchstar with an Allison. " and it works from there.????
Allison Transmission
OK it works this time .
