Allison Transmission lookup issue?

W22 Workhorse with Allison 2000. 95,000 Miles. Fluid and filter changed at 85,000 miles.
Fliud is clear, not discoloured and at the correct level.
On our last 2000 mile trip on two occasions felt like Moho was lugging.
Was in 6th gear but high RPM,
I am guessing not going into torque lockup
Pulled over and checked all brakes on MoHo and toad, none dragging.
Restarted and all was good again.

Tried to move this morning at home, Moho felt like E-Brake was on and barely move. Restarted and was normal again.

I believe the W-22 chassis with the 8.1L V-8 was only equipped with a 1000 series Allison .
Torque converter lock up should only " reduce " engine RPM by 250/300 RPM .

What RPM were you seeing ?
How much higher than normal is the rpm ?

Was at a steady 60 MPH, Usually 1800 RPM,
Was at 2100 RPM when conditions noted for the same speed.
This is a 2008/2009 Model W22

Ok, I'll have to apologize, my Workhorse chassis info only goes to 2005 , where the 2000 series was only used in the W-24 chassis .

Your issue sounds like a problem with the " auto park brake" mechanism .
That system uses a electro-hydraulic pump to release the the drive shaft mounted , spring applied , park brake .
The auto park brake is a Workhorse installed item and there maybe posts in the Workhorse chassis forums , that relate to testing the system and any possible repairs required.

In your original post you said you checked all the brakes for dragging .
Were you under the coach to the back of the transmission ?

I've separated the section on the auto park brake system from the chassis pdf, because the entire pdf is over the forum's posting limit.
Note: the text says the correct procedure must be followed to properly release the park brake.

Thanks for helping to sort this out. Read the PDF section you sent.
Very specific the W22 uses only the mechanical parking brake system.
Pretty well rules out parking brake deployed while driving down the road.

Never went underneath to check P Brake but I know how well it holds if you try to take off without releasing first.
