Am I missing a plug?
I noticed this hole while underneath the coach this afternoon. Is there supposed to be a plug in this hole?

It is in the bottom of the housing at the back of the transmission. If it is just an inspection or weep hole, why is it threaded?

Shine a light into it, it may have a plug in it. If you see internal parts, somebody boo booed.

Possible an access for a torque converter drain plug.
How did you get the underside of your coach that clean?
I'll get onder my coach tomorrow and see what's there. Besides 12 years of grime!
What model trans have you got there?

That would make sense I suppose. I have been using gunk engine cleaner pretty regularly on the underside to keep things clean. I have found that if I keep things clean down there I don't get nearly as much oil blowing up onto the front side of the radiator. Which in turn makes it much easier to keep the rad clean and the engine cool. I don't know the specific model of transmission. It is a 6 speed Allison.

Derek- Asked Cummins about that a few years ago. The flywheel housing does Not have a plug in the bottom. If you see oil leaking there it could be a rear seal failing. (Cummins ISB 260)

The allison mt-643 4 speed on my 1999 winnebago adventurer 34v has this same "missing" plug. Was also concerned about this potential issue.

The transmission may have spare threaded holes that are used by machines that machine assorted parts or that lift it for mounting when it's being installed.
Same with other massive parts, Often there are loops, holes and sometimes threaded pick up points for the thing.
