Question Engine won't Start - Transmission pad dead

I have a 1998 Holiday Rambler Endeavor - Cummins engine - Batteries failed (dead over winter) replaced them - with new batteries and now the start will not work on the ignition key and the transmission shift panel is also dead. It tests for full 12v power at all the power studs up front. Tried removing the neg conductors from the batteries for a bit & put them back on. Didn't help.???. It appears neither the Engine or Transmission computers will re-boot?

Start by double checking that you did not leave off any wires when you replaced the batteries.

Next, check for power IN and OUT of the Ignition Solenoid.

If the Allison transmission shift pad does not illuminate, VERY unlikely this is a "reboot" issue. More "I am not getting 12 VDC issue".

Also, check if the dash HVAC fan runs. It also receives power from the ignition solenoid.

Definitely check your wiring at the batteries. I have been on many road calls for no starts due to shift pad dead after battery replacement

Welcome to iRV2 .

Sorry your first post is about problems .

As mentioned the Allison shift pad MUST be powered up in order to start the engine . There could be a wire left off the chassis batteries or an inline fuse that powers the Allison ECM close to the batteries , or if your coach has an Allison VIM , a fuse inside the ( Vehicle Interface Module ) could be blown.
Does you battery bank look like the picture below ?
Note inline fuse holders on the back wall .

If you have power to anything in the coach when you turn the ignition on. Then you have narrowed it down to just the transmission wiring. There is no reboot sequence for an Allison shift pad. If you have power from that batteries, ground and an ignition source it will come on
