Flexable Hose part of the cooler trans line
Checking out coach for a 9,000 mile trip out to the West coast starting in July and noticed that the weather cover (?) of the trans cooler lines are cracking. No leaks and I am guessing it is just the weather cover cracking? It is a WH chassic built in Oct 2003, a 2004 National RV Dolphin, model 5355, with the 8.1 engine, has 26,000 mile, and I live in Florida, so never been in salt. The two at the LH side of the engine, one going to the radiator cooler and to the connections to the external trans cooler, and also the one at the top of the radiator going to the external cooler. They are blue in color. The two flex lines at the lower LH side of engine appear to be crimped on to the metal lines. The one at the top of the radiator has fittings at each end.
Should I be concerned and replace them or is this another fine Work Horse design flaw and they are soon to fail? Anyone have this cracking issue of the flexable hose parts of the trans cooler lines? Advice? I sure do not want to blow a hose and dump the expensive TranSynd I just switched over to before my last 7,000 mile trip! It took 4 gallons (16 qts) @ $33 a gallon.
Any help, suggestions, or advice is apperciated!
