Shift Inhibit 2006 Fleetwood Providence 39s 3000MH
So this is happened to me on 3 different occasions and is intermittent and my normal mechanic cannot figure it out. The coach will sit for 30 days or longer and I will start it pull it out of the side yard and start driving down the street and before it shifts to second gear the red light comes on check trans and shift inhibit and it won't come out of first gear. It will not even go to neutral I have to shut the vehicle off in order to reset the transmission. I hit the up and down arrow and it says OL - - - - 95. I hold the mode button down for about a minute and sometime it clears but sometimes I have to unhook the motor batteries for a couple minutes and start driving. I have had this happen as I was leaving for a 6,000 mile vacation and it did not happen that trip again. I also on another trip was driving about 25 and the speedo just started dancing up and down and then it went to 0 and the shift inhibit came on again. I have 31,000 miles on this. The code say that the -- -- 95 is Oil level sensor failed. This weekend I was leaving for labor day and it did it again, the first Shift inhibit did it on Thursday and again on Friday but after resetting 3 times I was able to drive it the 45 miles up to Big Bear. When I was starting to leave the campground shift inhibit came on again and I cleared it 2 times and then the speedo jumped and it would not come out of 2nd gear at 25. I went underneath the dash and looked for a loose connection and went to the trans and wiggled the speed sensor wire and disconnected the negative battery cables and it drove fine all the way home. I am wanting to take it to Allison but I know all to we'll about intermittent problems and the dollars they charge. Has anyone had this problem?
