I have a 2000 Monaco Diplomat 38D(just purchased 3 weeks ago)with a 315 Cummins ISC and a 6 spd Allison transmission. I'm getting it ready for our first trip and need to add some trans fluid. I don't see any filler for it located in any of the service bays. Is it under the bed, perhaps?

TIA!

You fill the trnasmission with fluid through the dip stick tube. It will take either DexronIII or Transynd(synthetic). If it has been filled with Transynd there should be a tag attached to or near the filler tube stating to use Transynd only.
Do you know how to check the transmission fluid level using the up/down arrows on the shift key pad?

I found the dipstick in the engine compartment under the bed. Brilliant design, ha ha! :-) Anyway, that's where I added it and yes, I had learned from Bill Duckwitz on the MCOA Yahoo group about pressing both the up and down arrow keys at the same time on tne transmission key pad to check the fluid level. Is this more accurate than the dipstick(they don't seem to match each other)?

The preferred method is the key pad. I check mine when I pull in to a rest stop or have to wait my turn at a fuel stop. This way the engine is up to operating temperature. I am usually on a fairly level surface. The engine needs to idle for a few minutes to let the fluid settle.
My dipstick reading is about the same as the key pad reading.
